To those individuals looking for an absolutely phenomenal realtor, as well as a the best possible home buying experience, Mylene Merlo is a VERY rare find. In his day in age, it’s relatively difficult to find someone that is totally and completely living their purpose. And in that, willing and able to share it with you. However, what was even more apparent as we walked through the home buying process with Mylene is her stellar character. She is a deeply conscious, loving, thoughtful, patient, moral, and exemplary human being. Every single step of the way – from the first meeting where we asked her to explain every single aspect of buying a house to us, and she did so with grace, patience and wisdom. To attending the closing (with new baby on her hip) to ensure every piece of paper was 100% accurate and we got all questions fully answered. The escrow officer actually shared with us, when Mylene stepped out of the room briefly, that in her 20 years in the business she’d never met an agent as good as Mylene. Although we were first time home buyers, we worked with several realtors in the past, and my father was a realtor for most of his career. I’ve known a LOT of realtors over the years. Yet I’ve never seen anyone serve, support and care for their clients in the way that Mylene does.
One of the things that I recognized and appreciated most about Mylene was her acute attention to detail, her willingness to put in whatever time it took to get the job done perfectly, and her ability to insighfully connect with others. It’s the latter point that I believe gave us the competitive advantage to the MANY other offers put in on our dream home. Mylene “connected” to the sellers in a very human and authentically kind way. Some of the other offers that came in were at a higher value than ours, others had better terms than ours, but obviously there was something that set ours apart. It was formulated in the most precise and clear way… and it was the one that connected at a deeper level than just ‘what’s on the paper’. And whether we recognize it or not, real estate is all about working with people and communication. Both of which Mylene is THE expert in.
So, here I sit, in the home office that I’ve always desired, within our cozy house that is perfect and beautiful FAR beyond what I ever thought possible, hoping that you too will be in this seat.
