When we decided to sell our home we interviewed 4 realtors – 2 full service and 2 discount – and Mylene was by far the most professional and well prepared of those we met with.

While several of the potential agents pointed out the same factors that they based their recommended selling price on, she brought up several additional selling points which showed to us that she had really thought thru how she would sell our home and that she had worked to put together her presentation to us.

Based on this, we chose her to sell the house. We have purchased several homes in the past, but this was our first time selling. Once we went with a full service broker, we decided to “turn over” the process to Mylene and followed her lead on pricing strategy and negotiation. She did not disappoint. She brought the same drive, focus and attention to detail to selling our home as she did to securing our listing. Mylene had a strong network of supporting vendors – stager, handyman, etc – to help us prepare our house for sale and coordinated with them, communicating clearly and frequently, making the preparation turn key for us.

By the time the listing was ready to go live, the house presented significantly better than when we had purchased it just 3 years before. Once the listing went live, she kept us constantly informed and updated. We had 2 days of open houses the first weekend of the listing, and this is where she really hit it out of the park.

I have attended open houses as a prospective buyer, and usually the selling rep at the home is very non descript, offering some generic information on the home and the circumstances of the sale. Mylene WORKED IT. First off, she attended herself, not passing it off to a junior agent. Plus, she brought in easel cards with information about amenities in the development and the surrounding area. During the open house she was actively selling in a friendly way while potential buyers were at the house.

Coming off the first day of the open house, we had 2 offers – both at or above asking price – and a couple other interested buyers. Mylene quickly formulated a counter offer strategy and pushed the offers up. By the time we signed an agreement, she had secured a record high sale price $16k over an aggressive list price and $5K over any other house in our development, including several recent sales of larger floor plan models.

Once in Escrow, Mylene smoothly guided the sale to close, despite a selling agent who was not super engaged in the process. Every step of the way, she kept us informed and had a well thought out recommendation on how we should tackle any challenges. She even provided us checklist and reminders of things to think about as we prepared to move.

Working with Mylene was a pleasure. As a bonus, by the time we finished, our net proceeds from the sale was higher than what we would have gotten from the highest sale price any of the discount brokers had proposed, even with their reduced commissions. I cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a listing agent to sell their home.
